Join our dynamic team as an Investigations Coordinator II - Asset Protection, where your expertise will make a significant impact! In this pivotal role, you will leverage exception-based reporting to collaborate with a diverse range of business partners across retail stores, warehouses, and national offices, tackling internal and external fraud head-on. Starting Salary: $105,000
Salary Increases: Year 2 - $112,000 | Year 3 - $120,000

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reaches conclusions and presents findings of fraud investigations to leadership for further action, including recommendations for proposed remediation.
• Partners and collaborates with business teams to ensure optional decisions and outcomes are made through influencing, coaching, and providing subject matter expertise that balance risk and business needs.
• Partners with internal business partners and external law enforcement agencies as necessary to reach an effective resolution.
• Trains leadership on efficient and effective internal investigation techniques.
• Advises on any changes or actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
• Informs management of recurring issues or when additional team training may be required.
• Leads and conducts internal investigations involving fraud at the stores, warehouses, and national campuses.
• Conducts interviews, collects all relevant facts, and writes investigative reports based on findings related to suspected fraud.
• Develops, coordinates, and implements processes and playbooks to ensure efficient and effective internal investigations.
• Provides guidance to team members with respect to best practices concerning internal investigations.
• Applies step-by-step repeatable process for investigative development and documentation.
• Manages multiple projects and initiatives with various deadlines and handles special projects.
• Designs, implements, and drives process improvements and infrastructure solutions to enhance the department’s ability to assist the company and function efficiently.
• Demonstrates full and competent utilization of the case management system to input and track cases.
• Develops customized reports for business partners and stakeholders that identify trends and opportunities.
• Manages complex and sensitive fraud investigations without significant oversight.
• Engages critical thinking and decision-making as to relevant findings of any inappropriate activities with respect to state or federal laws, regulations and/or ALDI policies.
• Recognizes and communicates investigative impact to the business based on timing and scope.
• Assists in training and developing team members to retain a motivated and professional workforce.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
• Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Loss Prevention, Business Management, or a related field required.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in asset protection and internal investigations required.
• Experience in a business environment required.
• Loss Prevention Certified (LPC) preferred.
• Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) preferred.
• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
• Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Travel:
• Domestic travel required.
• Up to 10%.
