Best practices for interviews with National Services.
Within National Services, we want to ensure that each and every one of our candidates has all the information they need to feel confident and informed before coming in for an interview with our Hiring Leaders. That said, each of our recruiters have listed some tips and tricks below, which they have each found to be valuable throughout the hiring process.
In Person/Virtual Attire
All of our interviews are considered business professional and are conducted as so. Therefore, the attire we suggest for all candidates includes: dress pants, button down shirt, tie, skirt, dress and/or suit jacket.
Documentation
For all candidates, we suggest utilizing a "padfolio" to take notes and to refer to any questions you may have. We also suggest ensuring that the hiring managers have your most up to date resume.
Position Knowledge
To guarantee each of our conversations with candidates goes smoothly, we suggest reviewing the job description prior to your interview. We also suggest that you practice correlating previous work experience to the needs of our open position(s).
Research
One thing each of our recruiters suggest is researching ALDI before coming in for an interview. This not only shows your dedication to the position you are interviewing for, but the organization as a whole. To get you started, click here to learn more about Our Story.
Questions to Prepare
When candidates are more engaged and feel comfortable with asking questions it helps address topics that might not have been covered. That being said, ask lots of questions!
Parking for an Onsite Interview
You can park in the visitor parking towards the entrance of the building - please ensure you park where it states “Visitor Parking Only,” not “Reserved.”
Virtual Interview
In preparation for virtual interviews, we recommend being mindful of your surroundings and familiarizing yourself with the Microsoft Teams platform prior to your scheduled interview time. Additionally, please check that your microphone and audio sound are working and feel free to blur your background if prompted as an option.
