This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 2 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 2 days per week; work in-office at least 3 days per week).
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees the design and implementation of data management systems, including data warehouses and master data management solutions, and makes strategic decisions to support effective data collection and analysis.

• Leads the business planning and budgeting process for their area. Participates in planning activities, communicates business resource requirements and adheres to established cost thresholds for their area.
• Drives successful delivery of analytics initiatives by assessing risk, cross-functional alignment with stakeholders, and ensuring transparency in planning and execution processes.
• Provides strategic guidance to senior management on reporting-related decisions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Makes decisions regarding resource allocation and project prioritization to optimize reporting processes.
• Recruits, relocates, and recommends qualified employees for their team; determines the appropriate training methods/courses for new hires.
• Determines the salary levels for newly hired or transferred employees reporting to them according to the established company wage structure.

• Liaises with directors in other ALDI countries to facilitate the sharing of best practices.
• Drives projects covering a breadth of data analytics solutions, collaborating cross-functionally to build innovative data and analytic products, services, and processes for stakeholders.
• Leads initiatives to enhance reporting capabilities, including the integration of advanced analytics and visualization tools.
• Drives cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with internationally and nationally defined objectives.
• Drives the local implementation of global data and analytics products, ensuring solutions meet local requirements while aligning to international standards.
• Establishes and enforces data standards, best practices, and guidelines for data collection, storage, and usage across the organization.
• Collaborates with business units to identify data-driven opportunities for innovation, optimization, and value creation.
• Partners with all regional and functional business owners to understand and incorporate their strategic initiatives in planning exercises and in alignment with national and international goals.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive external experience in Finance, Data Analytics, or Computer Science and retail operations required or at least 4 years of relevant experience at ALDI.
• ALDI District Manager Division, Executive Manager AHEAD District Manager, National Services Manager or Director experience required for internal candidates.
• Completion of the ALDI LEAD (Leadership Enhancement And Development) program (for internal candidates) or equivalent combination of external leadership experience and training required.
• Master's Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Experience managing a department required.
• A minimum of 5+ years of project management experience preferred.
• Experience in data and analytics including dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting tools, development of data products, data governance, data warehousing, data protection, and/or structured and unstructured data preferred.
• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
• Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
