Office Manager

In this role the Office Manager will be responsible for motivating and leading an amazing and engaged office team in both the day to day as well as special events and projects.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner as well as interpret and apply company policies and procedures. 

Position Type: Full-Time
Starting Salary: $73,700.00 per year
Work Location: Greenwood, IN
This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 1 day per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday only); work in-office at least 4 days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Manages the recruitment, selection, training, development, and performance of staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce.
• Oversees the training, development and performance of staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce.
• Establishes, communicates and evaluates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and desired results.
• Identifies training and development opportunities that will assist their direct reports in achieving enhanced performance.
• Understands the overarching company strategy while communicating and modeling the core values of the organization to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employees.
• Monitors and manages controllable expenses by working cooperatively with their direct leader to manage staffing needs to control payroll expense. 
• Communicates with other divisional personnel and outside partners and parties as appropriate.
• Works with all divisional and national teams and departments as appropriate to communicate relevant information.
• Provides input to their direct leader on hiring for positions reporting to them.
• Informs management of major team milestones, developments, and concerns.
• Approves divisional expenditures within established guidelines.
• Manages divisional compliance with established company policies and procedures, as well as with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manages the installation, implementation, updating and proper functioning of IT hardware or software. 
• Oversees the administration of general office tasks. 
• Ensures proper management of divisional office activities. 
• Manages the physical, on-site, requirements of tangible asset management. 
• Manages product pricing, quality, scanning and signage, as well as product recalls and receiving claims. 
• Oversees the IT Assistant to ensure the successful installation and testing of new software and oversees the training of employees in the use of hardware and/or software.
• Supervises the day-to-day operations of their team escalating issues to the appropriate level of support and/or leadership when necessary.
• Ensures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner to provide the highest level of customer service for the business.
• Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma / GED required. 
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Management required.
• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. 
• Associate's Degree in Business or a related field preferred.
• Experience in an office management role required.
• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. 

Physical Requirements:

• Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs. 

Travel:

• Minimal travel required as needed for job related duties such as training, project work and administrative tasks.
