NWOC Project Supervisor

The National Warehouse Operations Committee allows you to make decisions that will make an impact at one of the nation's top grocers. The objective of the role is to support warehousing strategic objectives and initiatives by preparing measures for optimizing organization and process workflows, conducting cost/benefit and best practice analyses, and assist with committee projects. We are always on the lookout for those improvements that will keep ALDI moving forward.

Position Type: Full-Time
Starting Salary: $93,250
Salary Increases: Year 2 - $98,250 | Year 3 - $103,500 
Work Location: Webberville, MI
This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 2 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 2 days per week; work in-office at least 3 days per week).
Duties and Responsibilities: 
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Establishes priorities according to subject matter expertise in alignment with stakeholder needs.
• Manages relationships with cross-functional and regional teams, identifies operational change concerns and navigates them accordingly to ensure acceptable standards.
• Works with regional teams to implement project action plans and improve outcomes.
• Establishes, communicates and evaluates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and desired results.
• Identifies training and development opportunities that will assist their direct reports in achieving enhanced performance.
• Understands the overarching company strategy while communicating and modeling the core values of the organization to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employees.
• Acts as a national subject matter expert in distribution center processes and warehouse solutions.
• Leads and supports change management initiatives throughout all levels of the organization.
• Works cooperatively with country and local teams to effectively influence processes in alignment with the global template.
• Develops and recommends changes to improve processes, policies, and procedures.
• Provides input to their direct leader on hiring for positions reporting to them.
• Informs management of major team milestones, developments, and concerns.
• Supports international and national warehouse project needs.
• Maintains a holistic perspective of ALDI solutions which impact distribution centers and prescribes local warehouse operating practices that achieve objectives.
• Advises on effectiveness of workflows in support of national warehouse needs.
• Drives localized rollouts toward accuracy and efficacy.
• Guides stakeholders on system and process implementation; diagnoses areas needing improvement and promotes their resolution.
• Provides planned deliverables and localized assistance to support project needs.
• Creates and maintains appropriate documentation to track rollout needs and progress.
• Plans, performs, and influences warehouse activities and projects.
• Supervises the day-to-day operations of their team, escalating issues to the appropriate level of support and/or leadership when necessary.
• Ensures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner to provide the highest level of customer service for the business.
• Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma / GED required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an ALDI warehouse leadership role preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. 
Physical Requirements:
• Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs. 
Travel:
• Domestic travel required.
• Up to 10% with some periods exceeding this threshold for a limited timeframe not to exceed 6 months
• Up to 50% for distinct periods according to business need.
